Privacy policy

This policy explains what MindScale (mindscaleiq.com), run by Lightning Deals LLC in Florida, collects when you use the site, and why.

What we collect

• A visitor cookie. When you start the test we set a cookie with a random code, so your test can be saved and resumed on this device, so this browser can open the results it paid for, and so it stays signed in to your account after you use a sign-in link. We store only a scrambled form of the code.
• Your tests. The answers you choose, when you answered, how long each test took you, and the scores we work out from them. For the personality, emotional intelligence, career interest, attachment style, love style, work style and nine-type personality tests, that is how you rated each statement and your score on each scale.
• Questions about you. The gender you tap before the IQ test (male or female) and the age group you pick at the end of each test. They are stored with your test and do not change your score.
• Your email and age confirmation. The email you enter after the test, and that you confirmed you are 18 or older. We use your email for your account, receipts, reminders and sign-in and cancel links.
• Your agreement to the terms. When you buy, we record the exact terms you agreed to, when, and the IP address and browser you used, as proof of your consent to the renewal terms.
• Payments. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, Solidgate. We receive the payment and subscription status and dates, never your full card number.
• Basic technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run and protect the site.

Ads and analytics

We advertise on Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). On our public pages we may use the Google tag (Google Ads and Google Analytics) and the Meta Pixel to measure which ads lead to purchases. When you buy, we may also send the purchase to Meta from our server, with your email in hashed (scrambled) form and the browser identifiers the Meta Pixel set, so it is counted once. The purchase we send to Meta and Google says which test it was for: the name of the test only, never your answers or results. We do not use these tags on the test itself.

• If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we limit this sharing (Meta Limited Data Use, Google restricted data processing).
• In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the Meta Pixel does not load and Google tags run with consent denied.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run MindScale: our host and database provider, Solidgate (payments), Resend (email), and Google and Meta as described above. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep test and account data while your account is open and for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Payment and consent records are kept as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your choices

You can clear the cookie in your browser at any time; you will then start as a new visitor. To ask about, correct or delete your data, email lightningdealsfl@gmail.com.

Children

Buying access is only for adults 18 and over. The site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
